Toknary installs with one command. On a Mac, that command is a shell script. On Windows, it is a PowerShell script. After it is on the computer, you sign in from the terminal and approve that sign-in in the browser.
Mac
Open Terminal and run:
curl -fsSL https://toknary.com/install | sh
The published Mac build is Apple silicon. If this computer does not have a published build yet, the installer says so and stops.
Windows
Open PowerShell and run:
irm https://toknary.com/install.ps1 | iex
The published Windows build is 64-bit. Git Bash on Windows can use the curl command instead. Windows on ARM is not published yet, and the installer says so.
From that same terminal, run:
toknary auth login toknary
A browser page opens. Choose Approve or Decline. There is nothing to copy back into the terminal. The steps are in approve a terminal login in the browser.
An account comes first. Create one, then return to the terminal. The same curl command is what a Linux terminal uses when a build is published for it.
