The agent wrote it. You are still the one who ships it. A quick, consistent review catches most problems before they reach your teammates.
What should I check every time?
- Read the whole diff. Not the summary, the diff.
- Is it only what you asked for? Unrelated edits are a warning sign.
- Do the tests pass? Run them yourself, do not rely on the report.
- Were tests changed? If so, was the test wrong or was it bent to fit?
- New dependencies? Question every one.
- Secrets and paths. No keys, tokens or local paths in the code.
- Edge cases. Empty input, errors, large input.
How do I keep reviews fast?
Ask for small changes. A ten-line diff takes a minute. A two-hundred-line rewrite does not. That is another reason to prefer diffs over rewrites.
Where does Git help?
Commit before the agent starts so you can always go back. See a safe Git workflow with an AI agent.
